Meena joined Ladybird Lane in 2015 as an Early Years Apprentice and completed her Level 3 Diploma for the Children’s and Young People’s Workforce in 2016.

Meena became Nursery Manager in June 2023, she is also our Lead SENCO, Lead Safeguarding Officer and Lead Health and Safety Officer and her training for these roles is relevant and up to date. She is also responsible for overseeing staff Mental Health and Well-Being in collaboration with the senior management team. Meena works in partnership with parents to implement individual targeted plans for children on the SEND register and liaises with outside agencies and professionals to provide an appropriate level of care and well-being for every child.

She scaffolds colleagues to support children to manage their feelings and behaviour by overseeing a range of meaningful activities to enhance their progress. She works with colleagues and parents to conduct individual 2 year old checks to ensure children have the best opportunities to meet their full potential. Meena oversees the day to day running of the nursery with the support of Jade who is part of management team.

She supports colleagues with their professional development and organises regular supervisions with them to discuss their key children to ensure that appropriate observation and monitoring systems are in place to highlight the children’s progress.  Meena supports all colleagues to identify their own training needs and endeavours to ensure that they feel confident and happy in their role.

She is responsible for mentoring, supporting and supervising new staff and students by providing ongoing training to maintain and enhance our delivery of ‘outstanding’ practice as described by Ofsted (2018).
